How Much Crystal Clean To Order:

(Approximately one 5-gal pail covers 400-500 sq. ft. of floor space)
Example: 1,500 sq. ft. house would recommend three 5-gal pails.

Mixing Crystal Clean:

Pour the complete contents of Crystal Clean Part 1 container into a mixing container (plastic or glass) large enough to hold all three components once completely mixed.
Add the complete contents of Crystal Clean Part 2 into the same container as Part 1 and stir the solution until it is thoroughly mixed (15-20 seconds).
Add the complete contents of the booster container (Part 3) into the mixing container holding Part 1 and Part 2 of Crystal Clean and stir the solution until it is thoroughly mixed (15-20 seconds). The mixture is now ready to apply.

In order to perform properly, Crystal Clean must be properly blended. Specific instructions are included with each container of Crystal Clean, and each kit contains pre-measured quantities of each of the three parts. Users should take care to mix all three parts thoroughly before use. Once you mix the Crystal Clean it is active for 8 hours.

Using Crystal Clean For Meth Lab Cleanup:

Wear appropriate PPE (full suits with hood and full face respirator with organic/chemical filter-nitrile gloves).
Crystal Clean on a meth lab decontamination job is best applied to your surfaces as a foam.
After mixing the Crystal Clean as per the manufacturer’s instructions listed above, pour the mixture into the foamer, sprayer or whatever equipment you use to apply it. The higher the CFM on the foamer or sprayer the faster and better the foam.
Start by applying Crystal Clean as foam to all walls in a room.
Now apply Crystal Clean to the ceilings.
Finally apply Crystal Clean to the floor (subfloor, some vinyl and ceramic tile – no carpeting) and work your way out of the room.
Apply Crystal Clean to all bathroom fixtures (toilets, tub, sinks) and the inside and outside of kitchen cabinets and appliances.
You can also a Crystal Clean as a fog into the ventilation system through the return air ducts.
After all foaming and fogging is completed throughout the entire structure or affected areas, let the foam dwell for a minimum of one hour.
After the one hour is up, remove all left-over foam by lightly rinsing the surfaces with fresh water rinse utilizing a pump sprayer or chemical sprayer mixed with degreaser.
A wet/dry shop vacuum utilizing a squeegee head can be used to assist in removing all excess water or foam.
Wipe down all wood-work, cabinets and appliances with clean absorbent towels. These may be damp with water and then dry.
Depending on where you live or time of year you may use open or closed drying of the structure. Open drying would be ventilating the structure (opening of windows/doors) for 2 -3 days after completion of the decontamination procedures. Closed drying would keep all doors and windows closed and utilizing the use of commercial dehumidifiers and fans.
Decontamination is completed! Ready for testing!

POUROUS ITEMS: All fabric and personal contents and all porous structural components (such as carpeting, padding, etc., exhaust and ceiling fans, flex duct system) are removed and disposed of prior to using Crystal Clean.

NOTE: Concrete walls and floors require the use of EasyDECON 200 as Crystal Clean will react to the concrete and not produce the desired result. If ordering Crystal Clean, please make sure to order EasyDECON 200 for concrete areas.

Disposal of Crystal Clean:

Once all three components have been mixed together, the oxygen content in part two has been diluted to 3.95%. Adding water to the mixed solution at a 2:1 ratio and allowing the diluted solution to sit for 8 hours, will degrade the solution to a safe level. The diluted solution is now safe to dispose of by flushing down the drain.

Warning:

Depending on the condition of the drywall or plaster painted surface after applying Crystal Clean some areas could bubble or blister. Most do NOT do this, but drywall or plaster with cheap paint could result in some minor drywall repairs after the application of Crystal Clean.
